You’re Not Alone.
Whether you’re an adult or a child, you are likely to have struggles and difficulties, at some point.
Those struggles may include worries, negative feelings, and uncertainty about understanding them or knowing how to cope with them healthily.
Therapy provides a safe space for healing.
Therapy can be your answer; it can be your place to be authentic with no expectations and your place to learn about yourself! Whether you’re an adult or child struggling with your emotions or not feeling like yourself, therapy can be your safe place.
I strive to offer my clients a comforting place, allowing them to be themselves without judgment. You may be a parent struggling with your child, questioning where to start, or asking yourself what they need and not finding the answers on your own. As a result of a child’s struggles, parents also tend to go through emotional difficulties.
But no one needs to do it alone – Therapy provides a safe space for everyone.
Make Changes for Peace and Balance.
I will assist adults and children in understanding their body sensations, feelings/emotions, and how to find a healthy way to work through them. We will explore beliefs and storylines for you to create your future.
I will help you gain self-care tools and structure. My goal is for you to have peace and balance in your day-to-day life and a feeling of living your best life.
While working with children struggling emotionally and/or behaviorally, I can work with them in my office, at their home, or at school as needed and depending on location. This approach allows insight into their difficulties in their natural environment, where they perhaps feel safest and most able to be themselves.
About Me
A little about me…
I’m a clinical mental health counselor, AKA a therapist. For many years, I have worked full time in the inpatient and outpatient setting of mental health and substance abuse/addiction. I have also been working part-time in private practice with adults and children ages 3-11.
Let’s be honest; that’s a lot of work and little balance. This desire for balance prompted me to go to full-time private practice, allowing me to gain balance that includes time for myself and my family. As a result, I can better focus and assist my clients.
Before working in mental health/substance abuse, I spent ten years working with kids on the autism spectrum utilizing ABA (applied behavioral analysis) therapy. I combine both worlds and work with adults and kids with behavioral and/or emotional difficulties.
Outside of therapy – my focus is on the family.
When I’m not busy in my practice, you’ll find me outdoors with my family, including my spouse, son, and our Goldendoodle Dakota.
